I was 30 weeks pregnant and had just received news from my doctor that I had gestational diabetes! I went into a bit of a tail spin. I was healthy. Had an exceptional diet. Exercised 5 x per week. Not overweight. But I still had gestational diabetes!!
I didn’t know quite how to manage it. All of the usual “don’t drink any more soft drinks or McDonalds” didn’t apply to me. I eat home-cooked, unprocessed, mostly vegetable diet. So I called Kate. Kate is a nutritionist well versed in her craft and also a passionate practitioner who I am lucky to have found.
Between my first session to the second session, partially following Kate’s advice (need to be a better patient), I have increased muscle mass and reduced visceral fat. I have also reduced my metabolic age by three years. I am planning to reduce my three month fasting sugar level from 6.5 to less than 6 without increasing medicine dosage in three months, and also reduce my metabolic age by another three years.
